Bonus! Optional Importer/Distributor Search Tasting

This special event gives you a second chance to be noticed by U.S. wine buyers.
If your wine is not yet imported or distributed in the U.S., you can be part of this special post-competition Tasting for an additional $50 (USD) fee per entry and six additional bottles of each wine. The Tasting will be held October 14 at the conclusion of judging.

The Competition judges are invited to this Gala Tasting. You may send promotional literature with your six bottles for tasting. The Tasting will be staffed by the Competition and participating wineries will not pour their own wines. The idea is to give judges the opportunity to taste in a non-selling environment.

  1. You must enter your wine in the Competition to participate in this Tasting.
  2. U.S. Wineries looking for new distributors may also participate in the Tasting.
Please follow this procedure for entering your wine(s) in the Tasting:

After entering your wines in the 2008 Pro Wine Buyers Competititon, go to the My Competitions page; click on the "Enter Wines in a New Competition" link. Select "2008 US Pro Wine Buyers Tasting", then click Next to display your list of wines. Follow the instructions for entering. The fee for each wine entered in the Tasting is $50, and you will be directed to a secure online payment page after entering your wines.

  • $125 International - for all entries shipped from outside the U.S. (does not apply to importers and distributors located in the U.S.)

International Entries

This is an affordable way to get U.S. exposure. However, due to the amount of time required to get international wines through U.S. customs and the additional shipping charges incurred by the Competition from the poinit of entry to our warehouse, we require the higher fee for wineries shipping direct.

PLEASE NOTE that regular rates and discounts apply to U.S.-based importers and distributors of international wines.

Please follow the directions carefully so your wine does not get stuck in U.S. Customs.

  • Mark all Tasting entries "Pro Wine Tasting" on each side of the box.

How Much Wine to Ship

For the Competition - Ship four (4) 750 ml bottles of your wine (or six [6] 375 ml bottles) delivered to Sonoma Storage Emporium no later than October 1, 2008.

For the Tasting - To enter, please check the appropriate box on the paper entry form or follow the directions above for entering the Tasting online. Enclose a separate tasting fee of $50 for each wine, plus six (6) additional bottles. You must enter the competition to qualify for the Tasting.

U.S. SHIPMENTS - You may ship your wines at any time to our temparature-controlled facility. Send to:
